Stock 255/35/19's... wouldnt the 275's rub the suspension? I've had a set of 255's rub before because of tyre tollerances resulting in a 255 tyre being about 275wide. Suppose you can use spacers!?

Well, I guess the offset of the Sportec Monos is different, this allows for the 275s. Just thinking they might help a n00b.

When ever I'm out alone in the car (not got the wife and kid) I'll turn the "ESP" off.

TBH (to be honest Marmite ;) ) it does slow you down on the twisties.

Also, the box will be in manual and the paddles are used unless it's a twisty road then it'll be the gear knob change but still in manual.

Think we'd better continue this in here http://www.rs246.com/index.php?name=PNp ... 252#184252

Gone a bit off topic :D

It is interesting how this thread is one of the most viewed on the forum, points to just how much DRC is a general problem for owners.

My warranty runs out in one months time ...... looks like I am not going to have any choice but to renew on account that we are not getting anywhere with Audi on a resolution. :(

Get all the hitory you have with the car and us that to get an amout off the next renewal.

Why should we have to pay £1500 ish just so we can cover an Audi problem that WILL come up again.

I think if the DRC wasn't an issue we wouldn't get the warranty renewed.

That's my 2 pence anyway :(

I had an X5 and it was in the garage loads and i got 50% off the renewal. That saved £450 or so.

Just over three weeks ago, Audi UK agreed to contribute 55% to the cost of a pair of rear shock absorbers.

My RS6 is only 4 years old with 24,000 miles.

I was left with a bill of over £1700 for what I now learn may be a problem with the product.

I am pursuing the return of my £ 1700.

I had a call from Audi today. News is that this is now with Audi AG Tech department and they are looking at how to best approach a resolution for all parties. I can't give any specifics, because I don't have any. I can't make any promises, because nothing in life is certain.

News is good to hear, good, bad or other.

At least they're talking about it and it's a discussion about the best way to overcome the problem.

Thanks Phil, i think we ALL appreciate your work involved on this site and on the matter in hand, just doesn't always come out.

We are always ready to moan but sometimes forget to say thanks.

Ps. Mines back in tomorrow for a DRC inspection

Just read this again and realized i miss read it first time round.

I thought you started by saying "Three years ago" not 3 weeks! ! !

I'd pursue for the money back too. Which Dealer did you use?

What did they say, it went because you weren't putting enough miles on the car :D

I hope you get somewhere with this. keep us informed.

Good luck

I thought I would post the reply to my letter (which was posted here previosuly) which I received ten days ago. I don't have any problems with my DRC but then again it is probably only a matter of time hence my letter to them.

Dear Mr. Wyatt

Thank you for contacting us with your query.

Once the investigation of the issues concerning your query is completed, you
will be contacted again. Until then, we kindly ask
for your patience.

Thank you once again for writing to us. Be assured of our utmost attention at
all times.

Yours sincerely,

This is probably their stock email to disillusioned RS6 owners? Hopefully not and hopefully I will receive a reply as and when I will post it here.

Nah probably because they are all track miles... not!

British Roads seem to be a problem with German suspension, well RS6's at least! I mean, come on, you don't actually expect it to go round a corner at speed do you?? ;-)

I think we should get Audi to pay towards (if not in full) replacing DRC with PSS9's. ROFPMSL. Yeah sure.
