My first comment was a random one, I am full capable of fully capable of reading, just as I am fully capable of writing a proper advert and at least introducing myself to a total bunch of strangers.

I have been a member of enough forums over the years to have a general idea of the etiquette and things like posts by strangers where they don't introduce themselves or even say hello, just join to peddle something, then don't even post it in the right area, I find to be annoying ;). Call me a sheep, feel free to talk to the hand :)

Good morning all, thank you for all the sensible comments.

I live in Canary Wharf where the RS6 can be viewed at any time, along with the documents confirming vehicle ownership, since mid 2008.

I ran the car for about 1 year, fetching and carrying my children from Crewe back to London for the weekend on a regular basis.
They now catch the train so there is not a requirement to run the vehicle and is currently SORN.

I will now post through the classifieds tab, its on the forum page because I have seen others before and assumed interested parties would be more likely to frequent this board.

Not sure what "poked" means.

I did, copy, paste and tweak another posters add, because I didn't want to miss anything out on the options list, although I am sure I have missed something. I apologise to the original poster if I have over stepped the copyright line.

I would love to get a higher price, but, taking everything into account I think £8k is a fair and common sense price.

Many thanks for you time this morning.
I will post some photographs later, just to confirm the vehicle is real and not a figment of my imagination.

PS, never assume the seller is always male.

MUCH better! Good luck with your sale and at least we have an idea about what the car has been doing. It is a shame that she is SORN and MOT-less as I think that will hurt you selling as nobody can strictly give her a test drive.

Based on where you are, you just might want to consider giving someone like Four Rings http://www.4rings.co.uk/ a call and get them to come out and give her a mobile service? I think that combined with getting her off SORN will help no end but others may disagree.

Circa 8k for a relatively low mileage RS6 which needs some work, sounds reasonable ......
Come on get a grip. Three and half years and 22500k miles with no service. You can't run these cars like, I wouldn't even run an old bagger like that. Clearly they have tried to run the car at the least cost option, there is likely to be a whole list of stuff that need's sorting out. It'll £8k to getting running as it should and then you'd be listening out for all sorts of bangs and noises.

As for only commenting now, you can forgive the first few people to try it on but it's getting far to often now. As I quoted the tag line, the site is for S and RS enthusiast's who what to talk to others about there cars and to become a community as such. You want to sell your car put it on Autotrader or Pistonheads, by all means direct people to here and let them know your userid so they can lookup infomation on the car if they want to.

/Rant over. Thanks for reading.
