If the range is optimistic then generally so is your average mpg reading. you can adjust both with the vagcom.

I changed the setting on the VagCOM to 115 (15% more) and the figures are much more accurate. Not more 400mi range estimates and the MPG is very close.

My car is booked into Perth Audi next Wednesday as they say the dash pod needs replacing (warranty job). Will let you know if it corrects the issue.
