There were manual ones. The S8 manual box might be suitable?

Question is, which box?

Interesting. I know that if I had to spend 8k on a new box, I think I'd rather have a go at putting a manual one in. I've seen S6 and S8 boxes on ebay.de for reasonable money.
I'm sure a one-off would cost a fortune, but I bet there's a demand for a manual box kit for an RS6 (or will be when all warranties are finished). I predict that as the cars get older we'll see someone come up with a "standard" manual box conversion.

It is not a small project to do. The list of mods and new parts is big, not including all the software changes (not maps - software) to get the car to run. I can't comment on it more - that is upto my customer to show and tell.
The dialynx car ran motec so did not have software issues and MTM charge a fortune because they get Bosch to redo the software.

Interesting find on ebay, they reckon the T5 Borg Warner mates straight up to an S6?

I know the Speed Sixes reputation for being unreliable (mine was rebuilt twice in 2 years!!) but the T5 gearboxes are made out of a solid block of granite!!! Just a shame they are only 5 speeds?

I'd take a 5 speed manual over a slushbox.
Isn't that box a 2wd unit? Can't imagine the RS6 without the quattro.
