well that's 'good' news - do you know when you might get it back?? If no other crime had been committed then let's hope they won't need to hang on to it for too long for evidence? What happened with Tracker - was that used at all?

TBH, if it was me/my car, I would be hoping for the burnt out option. Insurance wont pay you out in a few months when ur engine blows up from being totally hammered by a dickhead. I would always hope for the the 'written off' situation, get paid out and buy another one.

Hmm.. not me. If you make a claim for that on your insurance, you'll certainly be paying for it for a long time. To hollans09, I'd be inclined to get it serviced, or at least an oil change when you get it back!

Locked gates, disklock, wheel clamp, CCTV, lights and panic button for alarm. If you have a split level alarm system arm it at night. Oh and also fit the car with something like a blackjax system.

1. Make it as slow as possible to nick (visual deterrents)
2. Make it pointless to nick (blackjax or similar).

OR
3. Paint it something that no-one would want to be seen in (bright pink).

Push comes to shove, give them your keys it's just a car and not worth being killed for.

Just my 2p guys! :)

I hope your car hasn't been badly damaged in the chase.

It's very unlikely, they'd be pretty damn stupid to put themselves back in the vehicle that nearly got them caught the first time around. As a copper said to me after mine had been stolen/recovered, you're probably less likely to have it nicked than ever before.
