Ok, my list so far........(bear in mind in live in the isle of man, NO SPEED LIMITS >:) )

Porsche cayman (didnt stand a chance bless him)
Yamaha R6 (killed him on straights, he got some back on corners tho)
Mitsi Evo 9 FQ340 (my mates car, he was nearly crying 'cos he has spent 1000's on it)
Lots of scoobies (highly over rated, the evo was much better)
Porsche carrera 4 (flash, smug, arrogant <beep>, was why i blew him away lol)
Ferrari 360 (he was old so prolly not fair)

Ok, now for the cars that surprised me:

BMW 535D (yes a diesel, seriously shocked me upto 130, was right up me chuff, pulled away from him after 130 tho)
Merc E63AMG (that was a seriously fast car, estate too so good race was had, beat him tho, think it was more due to his arse going)

And the things i lost too :(

Yamaha R1 (good race, but he had me licked, on par on straight bits, blew me away on corners)
TVR tuscan (the boy could drive, out classed me, would like to re-do in the wet tho!)
Porsche GT3 (WOW, all im saying)

Should i encounter any more willing victims, i will let you know, lots of rich kids here with money to burn on cars.

One of the funniest was this bald dude in a Subaru (had the big exhaust and dump valve etc). He got hammered twice and then asked "wow mate, what's that?" The look on his face when I told him it was an A6 1.9TDI was priceless...

I've raced a few Evo's and annihalated them too. Always think in the back of my mind though that one day, a Jap car like Scoob or Evo will do the same to me as you never know what state of tune they are in.

Other things I have raced are M3 and that Bentley GT. That Bentley was easy meat as was the M3.

Had a TVR Tuscan fly past me (I was cruising at 70 and saw this "thing approaching like lightning"). He was obviously accelerating and so had the legs so I kicked down and started to catch him but pulled out due to liking having a driving licence.

One of quickest things I have raced has definitely been an M5 (new shape) which took me by surprise from the lights. I didn't get the best of starts but it was very even, perhaps I was creeping past a little but race was only from 0-70ish.

The next thing was a Monaro which I toyed with on the motorway. This was also silly quick. I got behind him and heard him drop a cog. As soon as the car in front of him moved over he went for it. I stuck with him from 60 and then my gear changed up so I thought I was going to lose it. Next thing, back on boost and pulling well up the revs... a few seconds later I had to pull on the inside to take him as just flew past him. It even suprised me. This is the fastest I have ever taken my car and don't really intend on doing so again.

Another funny story is a Carrera 4S that I killed which had some yougn fella in it. Anyway, cutting a long story short, I took this bloke I know out in the RS6 and he was impressed. When he asked me what cars I had raced, I told him about this lad in the Silver Carrera a few weeks before. "I know him, it's my mate!" he said and got on the phone to him. "Did you race an RS6 estate in grey last week?" he said. They had a chat whilst I drove along and apparently, this lad said he had never seen anything like it and that I flew past him like he was stood still as he was still getting out of first gear. To add to this, he had put his Porsche up for sale in order to buy a... yes, you guessed it - RS6! :kissmyrings:

Are all your cars standard or modified? I have had a 4.5TVR and must admit that I don't think a standard RS would stand a chance.

I had a scientific play with an M3 CSL in the RS6 recently. Started neck and neck from about 80mph and stayed that way upto 160! (Sport selected, then floored the loud pedal after a 3,2,1 countdown). My car is standard, and approx 440 bhp @FW. Must admit I was a little dissapointed, as I thought I would have had it above 130.

Also played with and killed a B7 rs4 cab, was a little surprised how easy that was.....

They are deseptivly fast. I also have a TVR and thought it was quicker too but the Audi is faster, it just doesnt feel like it without the bonnet trying to remove itself from the car at speed... I haven't driven a Standard RS6 though.

I agree.

Standard the cars are quick, but when they are tweeked they are mental, if a bit lazy, lazy in the sense that there is no drama, you put your foot down and you just arrive at lots of mph without any fuss.

Mine is running as you all probably know  about 510ish, 560ftlbs and is under 4 seconds 0-60 and i have seen 194 gps, and it was still going, and there is not too much out there that will keep up with that. Where it will get eaten every time, is on a track. A track car the RS6 aint. Its too heavy. Through the twisty bits it will be killed by pretty much anything. EVEN with the H&Rs or Billi's and ARB's. Brakes are awesome when upgraded, but need to be to stop nearly 2 tonnes of Herman the german from speed. Any car (sports) that weighs 500kg or so less will handle better and go round corners faster than the RS6. But in a straight line, bye bye GTI & STI ETC.
Some of the S4's and RS4's on here and over the road will give us and beat us on some occassions from 0-6- and to top line, because of the reasons stated above- they are running similar HP but with 300kgs + less wieght to chuck around, and they are deceptively good track cars. BUT at a recent track day, even the Turbo hedge was done by a standard M3CSL, not down the straights, but under breaking and thru the twisty bits. a great example of what weight/power can do! (oh, plus ceramic brakes )
It's all Bollox.

You are spot, however sometimes on track it is down to the driver too.

I have gone up against CSL's and shown them a clean pair of heels

Thats the weight aspect again. Is an elise sub 4 seconds 0-60? Genuine question.

I've had a tvr cerberra and 2 rs6's, a standard 6 will not beat a 4.5 cerberra in the dry. (420bhp-around 1100 kg)

The latest elise (depending on version) is 4.4 to 60 and 11 secs to 100, so yes up to 100 its quick due to low gearing, but most racing is 60 upwards, so the elise will be mullered by the german barge especially from a ton up.

My TVR 450 has the same stats up to 100, but from there the RS6 will disappear into the distance, besides the TVR goes all light at 130 (130 megatrons or something like that).

A TVR Cerbera is something else, thats pure mental and will quite simply blow the RS6 away.

I've toasted 911's, an E55AMG and sadly a TVR Tuscan, but been left by an Ariel Atom (damn that was quick when floored) and also a 997TT, however I've also pipped a 997TT. Funniest time was blowing a biker away while he was havin a tank slapper moment at a silly speed.

Best thing about the RS6 is sometimes been loaded 4 up with luggage and left 911's for dead, thats the grin factor, the fact you can floor it when you want to and then return to autobahn cruising with the family.

Yes, i did beat a R6 over the mountain here, but what you have to realise is, unless u have been to the isle of man, is that they aint roads like you have in england, they aint dual carrige ways, and in some places, you wouldnt want to go off the road due to a 100 foot drop about 12"from roads edge.
I have absolutly no doubt if you had a very compentent (and mental) bike rider on a R6 then he would cream me. But im not a 'professional' driver and nor are the people i occasionally race against.
Its just nice to see the faces of porsche drivers in thier 40 year old (brand new) 911's. They just think they are gods gift to the road, and its nice to put them in thier place with a double mattress in the boot on my way to the dump.
There are lots of cars out there that would cream a RS6, but lets look at this sensibly, most of the cars listed above are out an out sports cars, the M3csl is made for one thing, as are all TVR's, Porkers, Scoobies etc, and bikes are in a diff league all together. But in my eyes, the only real competition the RS6 has a M5, E55AMG/63AMG and the RS6 itself. Hold a competition between them 3 on what they are actually designed for (cover huge distances over whole countries on motorways at a good pace) and i think they are all near enough equal, if anything i would edge the merc in front due to slightly softer suspension and 'smoother' comfort.
And the other factor is, i am more than happy to say that my RS6 (517bhp) is more than enough for me, i dont exploit its full potential (yet) and i doubt that most ppl will ever reach an optimum level to get 100% from the car, its too bloody heavy for corners, its made for 155mph motorway journeys across germany.

So carry on enjoying what you have, what ever it may be!

Nice topic :D ;someone from the Dutch Audi-forum has a C5 RS6 wich put out 606 bhp & >800 nm at the flywheel on a RR.
0-62 mph was measured at 3,8 s ;50-75 mph in 1,7 s (!) and topspeed was measured at 200 real mph!
He has given lots of cars a bad/surprising day on the autobahns like F.360's,Carreras of all sorts and Aston Martins and lots of others including bikes and he had never lost......except for one;not by a supercar like an Enzo or something like that, but something else...

When he was on the autobahn some sunday morning on his way home at a nice kind of speed,he encountered an Opel Astra Opc and a dark grey Audi 100 who had a play with each other upto speeds of around 170 ish mph,but there was something not quite right;like most drivers with alot of experience with performance cars, the RS6 driver had developed a kind of instinct to recognize high-performance sleepers.
Next thing was that the Audi 100-driver eased of the throttle and let the Astra go,as soon as he got the RS6 behind him in sight.
He got along side the RS6 and they both slowed down to about 60 ish mph (there was no other traffic behind them) and the RS driver gave the signal to go and had an early start, blasting past 125 mph in no time.
But then he heard a sound that -as he discribed- that was like ''ripping metal'' behind him and the Audi 100 blasted past him like he stood still  ;when the needle of the speedometer of the RS6 went past the 200 mph mark, the Audi 100 was slowly dissapearing in the distance...

Judging the big difference in performance;we estimated that Audi 100 at around 800 bhp or higher.
