Oh, pics... I cunningly forgot to take my camera with me when I went looking so I don't have any bar the ones on Autotrader at the moment. Hopefully the previous owner will come up with the V5 very soon and I'll be able to take some proper pics. I'll be itching to show it off when I have.

Lastly what's the meet? Where and when? I've got some cracking mates through 944 meets and I'm right up for meeting some RS types.

Direct Ride Control - Audi UK position

Post by Condor24 » Thu Jun 21, 2007 4:55 pm

I posted a note some time back about Audi UK contributing 55 % to the parts and labour cost of new rear shocks and valves. The bill still came to some large sum of £ 1700.

I read this forum and realised there appears to be a common but NOT universal problem with these parts of the car. Two Audi dealers have also confirmed a regular problem on many vehicles.

Audi UK Technical Dept deny any knowledge of numerous problems with the DRC and shock absorbers.

I have now spoken to "higher powers" than Audi Customer Services & hope that by escalating the matter, Audi will realise they have more responsibility in rectifying the problems.

The more that Audi UK hear from drivers the better !

Yep, I'd echo the thanks for the link. I've already forgotten the options I seem to have, but I think it's reserved to foldy mirrors (maybe dippy also), black optics, solar roof and there is some phone gubbins under the armrest I forgot about.

Countdown to collection under way as the previous owner has come up with a tax disc that he hadn't cashed in yet, so I have given him some folding in exchange, insurance is sorted and I'm good to go tomorrow morning. The V5 is still AWOL but a new one has been ordered and TBH I don't really care about details like that right now
