The attached link will get you a PDF version of the Operating Manual for the CD based variety of Sat Nav, you can also order direct from the main dealer as mentioned in one of the previous posts.

I fitted the RNS-E in my RS6 - total cost of parts, sourced via ebay, was a tad under £900 (including the TV tuner). I recovered £450 by selling my old Nav+ and TMC module.

I'm pretty sure that Craig's price includes fitting (and he does a very good job), but doesn't include the new TV tuner.

Looks good couple of questions who did it and how much were the any wireing probs? i would like to get this for my RS4
The plastics never seem to match OEM in the RS4/S4 conversions I've seen - they must've changed the colour / texture slightly between B5 and B6 models??

Craig, I've heard that TMC isn't working on the DVD units (in the UK anyway) - can you confirm this. Is it a straight swap in the RS6?

Cheers, Nige.

In the RS6, the RNS-E is a reasonably straight swap, but you do need a wiring adapter. Also, you need to swap the TV tuner and adapt the existing wiring, or add a new cable, if you wish to retain TV reception. The colour match in the RS6 is perfect.

There are no navigation discs commercially available with the UK TMC coding tables included. This appears to be due to a licencing issue - I know of a beta version which does have the UK TMC function enabled. The discs currently available do include the TMC tables for most of the European mainland.

Unfortunately I still can't enter postcodes since the predictive text kicks in and will not allow me to input for example KT post codes and just wants to guide e towards towns full names- Am I missing something?

It's a pretty straight forward swap, from RNS-D to E, but you need to bypass the TMC unit which is under the drivers side. I do fit everyting although as Peter said the TV tuners are additional. But a good 35-40% of the costs can be got back from selling your old RNS and TMC/Tuner on ebay. Ialso VAG the car to suit and guarantee the units, which you wont get from ebay. 12 months warranty, manuals etc. Latest DVD available.

All of these things you will have to gather yourself from various sources, I've not seen anyne yet selling absolutely everything in one package or offering a warranty. So I think my prices are fair. And I have several satisfied customers that will testify to this fact.

Plus I also install OEM and 3rd party phone kits media players etc.

I've only had my Rs6 since Thursday of last week and I've already done the following...

RNS-E upgrade
TV tuner upgrade
Audi OEM Bluetooth Phone kit
Phatnoise install
400GB media player install
TV in motion mod
Origin B2 install.
