Pre-owned RS6 in Dealer Network
Re: Pre-owned RS6 in Dealer Network
He he, Phil!
Its quite surprising how much the empty shell of a TT looks like a 996 though. The 993 was much more quirky, especially the turbo.

Re: Pre-owned RS6 in Dealer Network
I'm pretty sure the A6/S6/RS6 is made at Neckarsulm, along with A2, A8, and some other interesting vehicles..... Only saw TT shells on transporters (Not Porsche, Tim!!).
Transporters were bring the RS6 daily
then the A6 S6 were at Neckersulm

That was three weeks ago -there are still only 37 cars in the network but this time 9 are under the crucial 50k barrier- mostly highish milers- but one at 3k miles .Only 38 pre-owned cars in 115 dealers?- and only one under £50k.
Gentlemen, your theories please-

Re: Pre-owned RS6 in Dealer Network
Its fair to say that by 1st of jan there will be a few at under 50k, and by March most of them.
But this should stablise once people realise that no more will be made after the new year, i reckon you will see a 10k drop in prices max by then.

That's about what my dealer says (if you can trust a dealer!) - prices will fall until the new car supply dries up, then should firm up a little.
I'm expecting pain with 25,000+ miles after one year. I love this car too much to want to get rid though.

The RS6 may be big and put down by alot of people but it is one very stealth car with plenty of punch.... and do you know why it is actually big.... because theres plenty of room inside it....
I`m sure the prices will pan out ok in the longterm and remember its still a RS car.... the RS4 is still my one of choice but to be honest the two cars are aimed at two different segments of the market place.

Oh no not this again......
Im 23 and moving to a RS4 isnt a good move regarding insurance and running etc.
My aim is to own a quattro GmbH RS car oneday but until i can afford one im going to try and stick with exclusive car`s.
The R32 im getting will be a 5dr model (only supposed to be 400 UK R32`s in 5dr)
So it will be more practicle than my S3 and in my opinion alot more rarer.
I know its not a Audi but that doesnt make it a rubbish car altogeather.
Its got a proper engine in it with plenty of power for my requirements.
My S3 was just a car to fill the gap until i could afford a RS car, but since i was hoping for a RS3 and to find out that quattro GmbH are most likely to build the new RS4 next it puts the RS3 if they every make it years and years away.
So i decided to change over to a R32 for awhile.
Was considering the next S3 but to be honest ive got my heart set on a RS car from Audi next.... not going to bother with the `S` cars as they are not exclusive enought anymore.
Usually the way the 2nd market goes is the more limited a car the better the residuals... usually goes something like that.
Still have a passion for Audi`s, just on hold until i can have the ultimate RS version

Re: Pre-owned RS6 in Dealer Network
That is a saloon - it was always suspected that the resale value of the saloon would be lower than the Avant. Also, it is a 52 registration (so late 2002/early 2003), and it is in Hull. That was three weeks ago -there are still only 37 cars in the network but this time 9 are under the crucial 50k barrier- mostly highish milers- but one at 3k miles .
I note that of the nine cars under £50k, six of them are saloons. Since the Avant is supposed to have outsold the saloon by more than 2:1, that does seem to support the view that the Avant would hold its value better (ignoring the fact that the Avant cost more in the first place!).
Since I won't be selling mine for a long time (on threat of divorce!), the resale value isn't of particular importance to me - however, the values must firm up once production is ended, particularly if there is no replacement forthcoming in the near future.Gentlemen, your theories please-

Re: Pre-owned RS6 in Dealer Network
I actually think they got the price wrong- the car is no longer there but they have an Avant at 6k miles for £57950-. Also, it is a 52 registration (so late 2002/early 2003), and it is in Hull.

that also explains a lot and it is in Hull

Strange, then, that Audi Canada are expecting to sell 90 RS6s from the February 04 production! They were building the last ones when we were at Neckersulm 2 weeks ago
