So I guess most of us are going to the non dimming variant when it needs doing? Both of mine are shot now - both recently & quickly. :(

Oh. Convex or aspherical?

I couldn’t figure it out either. I removed mine to see what the part number I needed was.

I am going for non dimming wing mirrors. I just cannot bring myself to spend £700 to £800 for two pieces of glass that are going to fail sometime down the road.

Just ordered my right one which just went copper. I double confirmed the Part# with them before purchasing but it looks odd in the picture. Will let you know how it turns out. Cost a cool €280

Also better be quick, I just noticed:
"With effect from February 1st, 2023, the prices for Audi Tradition spare parts will be increased by 6 %.
We would like to thank all customers and wish you a happy new year!
"

I guess the margins are so low, they just had to increase prices due to inflation

... -_-

That's the one that actually looks like mine in the Audi Tradition site, but to my surprise, when I pulled the glass out it's in fact 8D0857536BE

That's what it quoted me initially, but then after the payment procedure it went to 280,47 .

Huh. Same mirror as mine but for VIN > 4B-3-902 001. I wonder what the difference is.

Maybe no VAT because exporting to CH?

Maybe, but then it should have been 250 then :) ... let's wait to see how much customs will charge me.

No clue mate. I was as surprised as you were. I was convinced it was the G and almost pulled the trigger but then I decided to check just in case.

I bet it's something silly like a slightly different electrical connector.

Mmmnm. How does one remove the glass? Clearly I need to check the part numbers.

I used one of those plastic trim removal tools.
Prised it out from top and bottom.
Be ready to catch the mirror as it pops out.
Better still keep one hand over it while the other hand does the levering.
Just positioned the replacement mirror and pushed it back in after connecting the electrical plugs.
