After 5 years it’s kind of where I want it…
Re: After 5 years it’s kind of where I want it…
Looking ace. Needs an R8 coolant cap, though. That plastic one is letting the engine bay down.

Thanks Shop! I’ve got the coolant cap but it wasn’t parallel with the scuttle panel and was driving me nuts!! Need to find something to replace the brake resShoppinit wrote:Looking ace. Needs an R8 coolant cap, though. That plastic one is letting the engine bay down.

You can modify the cap so that it lines up how you like.

Having said that, I'd rather have a clear anodised one and a nicer symbol on it, maybe engraved. Might talk to my engineering supplier about getting some made.

Dunno. They all tend to be the same size, but need to check. It's for a much later car.Jayjay101 wrote: ↑Sat Nov 13, 2021 10:15 amYou think that will fit??Shoppinit wrote:I think this one looks better:

BILLET ALL THE THINGS
Seriously, fuel cap and washer tank cap as well? We are a weird bunch.
The issue is that when I recover from the bankruptcy that the Recaro sportsters are going to cause, I'll have to match the car to the new caps as they'll be too nice. I'm new to this but is there a limit to how many times I can file for bankruptcy? Should I give ownership of the 6 to a friend to prevent the bank from taking it?(am ok with them taking the house and children)

Yeah, I thought about billet everything last time I did a major rebuild of it. But it was gonna be 300 quid and in the end, I just couldn’t be arsed
