Understood, I was just calling out that I think TRW reman ones seem to be OK.
TBH, I doubt there a UK based facility that (re)manufactures this type of thing - that's not what the UK does any more, sadly.

I fitted a delco-remi from ECP to mine when the engine was out and it was worse than my original one which only made a squeak on full lock. I ended up getting a TRW one from Allparts in Watford which was 1000 times better, you could see the difference in quality and glad to say it didn’t take too long to fit when the car was all back together!!!

I bought a reconditioned steering rack years ago from a company. It was in worse nick and more knackered than the one I had taken out!

Hang the Gates part number can't get it down here and Amazon won't ship it. I bought the BMW aftermarket kit from ECS

Will put this into my old pump and refit.

If/when this doesn't work I'll get a genuine zf pump.
