I found alot of the info on here and on some American sites. The Konis are 82-2516 & 82-2526 listed for the S6, I would have thought S6 springs would be comparable but somebody else here will know better than me.

I havent had a chance to do many miles as my car is sorned but everything seems smoother and I'm not worried about any defects in the road as I was previously. I guess the fact is that the coilovers were that bad that anything is an improvement but I can see me enjoying the car alot more now. I have owned it for 10 years and I wished I had done this sooner.

Matt. Just read that entire link. Very informative and hanks for that. I have decided to go that route as well now. Just trying to source the springs as I want drc original ones. The eBay link does seem to be for the correct shocks. Just going to check koni direct before ordering to see the price.

Shocks on koni website are £506 delivered

FWIW, I had my original springs powdercoated. Spoke to the powdercoaters about if the powdercoat is flexible enough for springs (since some people say it'll fall off) and he noted that he's done loads and it has never fallen off for him, including on offroad vehicles.

Looks like the originals are powder coated, too.

Yeah I was thinking getting them powder coated. Should be around £700 for shocks and springs. Just waiting to confirm which springs now

Quick question on this. Have ordered my koni shocks and drc springs. I will order some new top mounts for the front. Do I need them for the rear as well or will they be ok. Also anything else worth swapping out. The upper arms on the front seem solid so not doing them. But is it worth getting new bump stops

I would (and did) change the rear mounts. Wouldn't bother with bump stops if they look OK.

You'll know by looking at your bump stops. Mine were mangled as a result of failed DRC, especially the front. If you can get good aftermarket ones at a fair price then it's worth the effort, nothing worse than pulling and dismantling the dampers for a cheap part. Getting the right length can be difficult and even when my DRC was replaced back around 2010, one front bump stop wasn't right.
