Maybe the plug wasn't in properly and now it is. Unburned fuel woud cause the trim to be off. Driving it slowly correct the trim. Maybe they didn't clear the fault code properly. Have you checked it since?

Not checked it for codes yet, other than directly after I ran it and took it back, when it read cylinder 1 again. It stuttered for maybe only a few minutes and then cleared. The light flickered, but didn't stay on.

He did also say that the plug was incredibly tight when getting it out, at first he thought it may have been cross threaded, and then when he got it out, said it looked like the garage that fitted them had put copper grease around the threads which was apparently not a good thing. I'll have a check tomorrow for codes again.

Think I will clear any codes and then run the car for a bit, then read again.

Yes ! Forgot to update this. Bought a new plug and instantly it ran smooth as it always had. No codes anymore either.

Plug itself looked just fine though, which was strange.

Going to replace all of them again in the next month or so, just to be sure. How many miles should plugs cover before being changed on these things ?

I suspect that the problem is either a faulty plug, plug not properly torqued.
