Re: Best deals for Hotchkis Sway bars
I bought mine from Summit, cost just over £500 which included postage and customs which they offer in an all inclusive price. Only down side was I had to wait a longtime but that I believe was due to Hotchkis not having any in stock. The reason I believe this is that I received regular e-mail from Summit with updated delivery schedule from Hotchkis but this change everytime. I eventually emailed Hotchkis customer service who never responded r replied but shortly afterwards my away bars arrived at the door. So Summit are good but depending on availability of bars you could wait a while?
Re: Best deals for Hotchkis Sway bars
That's a good price. ATM we're talking about 874usd incl shipping and customs, which is still 788€ or 700GBP...

Re: Best deals for Hotchkis Sway bars
As Shop says must be exchange rate, I'm sure bars were in the region of £350 with £150ish for postage and customs

The owner (Hektor) is big on the "other' Audi forum. Been there a long time and does plenty of business.

Re: Best deals for Hotchkis Sway bars
Classik. Congrats on the B16,s. Had them on mine for approx two years now. Totally transformed the car. Absolutely love them. Someone on here recommend them when I was looking. So glad I took their advice.
For daily driver I have them set a lot softer than most people. But have to say they are amasing.

Re: Best deals for Hotchkis Sway bars
Thanks Steve, yes those B16s are excellent and the forthcoming Hotchkis discussed here should be an nice addition to improve the handling of our barges.

Re: Best deals for Hotchkis Sway bars
Order is placed by now, I should receive the kit within 3-4 weeks. The delay is due to the Covid situation and Hotchkis being late on their order backlog, but Eddie from Wotmotorsports has been very helpful & transparent about this, highly recommended.

Re: Best deals for Hotchkis Sway bars
Is your car sorted now? Engine working how you want it? Did you ever figure out definitively where the turbo imbalance was coming from?

Re: Best deals for Hotchkis Sway bars
Thanks for asking Shopp!
The MAF imbalance has been sorted during the last engine out job, I presume any air leak has been fixed during the process. With the new turbos, the map is not up to the job and on a regular basis I get the overpressure (expected) & the MAF 1/2 Implausible signal faults. For the latter, I've learnt from one of your posts dated like 6 years ago (!) that it doesn't necessarily mean unbalanced MAF values between L&R banks, but also that the measured values are not expected, which is again not surprising with the new turbos pushing much more air into the engine.
Of course a new map will (should) fix the above once for all and unleash the full potential of this car, but before that I have a few jobs left to do:
1/ Properly fix the front oil cooler. It's working as it is but not nice at all with this braided hose running behind the lower front grill. I will probably ask for help on a forthcoming thread.
2/ Replace the Cam chain tensionners : thanks to the Vaico's thread recommandation, I was able to grab a pair for 600€ incl.VAT which is an excellent price. As you may remember I've already changed the pads & chains, but as the car is still at the limit of the recommended phase value on both banks (around 5 if memory serves well), I suppose it's the right time to change them for good
3/ Install new injectors: with E85, the injectors duty cycle were reaching 90% at full load, and this was before changing the turbos; so with the additional power they offer, it's mandatory to upgrade the injectors with bigger values
Other than that I've been through the hops of the fuel pump upgrades, and I've learnt quite a few things in the process. I'm now very happy with my setup and it definitely improved the engine behavior, also probably because the original ones were slowly dying particularly under the additional constraint of using E85.
Mastervac & master cylinder (both TRW) have been changed by myself (don't laugh, I'm very proud about this!) during the last confinement, along with the rear discs (Zimmies) & brake calipers (TRW).
So all in all, I'm still not there, but getting quite close. After that, I don't think there will be many things left to be done !

Re: Best deals for Hotchkis Sway bars
I used Summit, great price with everything included but had to wait a while to get them, supposedly Hotchkis slow to supply but a few emails to them direct and sway bars arrived soon after but couldn't really fault Summit and price included delivery and customs etc.
