RNS-e or Pioneer SPH-DA120
Re: RNS-e or Pioneer SPH-DA120
Ah. Yeah, I had to put a new powered aerial and leads in when I retro fitted into my mg. TBH, I never listen to the radio anyway, carplay and Spotify FTW.

Re: RNS-e or Pioneer SPH-DA120
Would the DA130 DAB version still not have analogue radio option though?
Re: RNS-e or Pioneer SPH-DA120
Yes because when you lose you DAB signal it will flick back to analog fm where you lose the 2 sec delay from DAB (and it will sound better if you have a decent fm signal).
Re: RNS-e or Pioneer SPH-DA120
Radio is Gash ! People still listen to that these days ? Didn't even connect a single ariel to my unit. Spotify FTW !
Re: RNS-e or Pioneer SPH-DA120
Had a look on pioneers site and:
SPH-DA130 appears to be the old 120 with added DAB
SPH-DA230 appears to be the new 130 with Android auto support.
So if you are an Android abuser rather than an Apple fanboi then the 230 is probably worth consideration.

Re: RNS-e or Pioneer SPH-DA120
The reason why I call out the 120 (and perhaps now the 130) is the lack of buttons.
I've always found aftermarket radios scream "look at me" (alpine were always the worst back in the day) and don't blend in so well with their button styling. I think I'd include the 230 in this, whereas the 120 doesn't have buttons, so once you code the illumination to match the car, it blends in pretty well.

I’m going for the Pioneer Unit, can someone remind or provide the link for the loom adaptor I will need to run it.. I have the rns-d unit, normal steering wheel and Bose setup.

Re: RNS-e or Pioneer SPH-DA120
My B7 came with an Android HU and 2x Amps floating around in the boot. My initial thoughts were to rip it all out and start again but now that I've tidied everything up and hidden the amps it's grown on me and I'm actually liking it.
Re: RNS-e or Pioneer SPH-DA120
For the pioneer guys, the reversing camera is a nice add-on too.

Are either of these any good, I got them off an older thread?

Re: RNS-e or Pioneer SPH-DA120
CT20AU11 looks right (it has the 4x RCA plugs)
The ebay one looks to be the right fascia & cage, but the connectors look wrong

I used the eBay one and it works just fine.
