Some 15yr olds aren't as robust as others when you push them to their limits...

Sometimes even I wonder how I've managed to not get band from this forum.

I would happily run mine up to Vmax, no issue. It's either put together properly, or it's not. And if it's not, I'll fix it first - clearly I'd do a check over first, but frankly, that's nothing to do with age of the car, just a bit of diligence in managing risks.

Does anyone know the capable top speed of an unrestricted standard C5?

Would the engine run out of puff before the gearing?

I don't know. I seem to recall on my Ultima that 400hp would just just kiss 200mph if you have a long enough runway, but that realistically 600 is needed to give the acceleration to reach it on any UK tracks. And with 350hp it'll do 180mph - of course the RS6 is more brick shaped and twice the weight.

I'm sure i read on this forum that someone had hit 200.

They used the road around the runway to be at at like 140 then the runway itself to hit 200. I think they worked out they needed like 5 miles of tarmac to accelerate and brake safely.

I'm Australian so I played either the piano or the banjo, they're both racist. Look it up.
