The paint is in really good condition considering it's not had a wash in a few years, you can really see the flakes in the paint work.

Based on the picture, do you guys think it is the oil cooler thats damaged? Looks like something left its stamp on it.
Good to hear the paint is ok, Daytona grey is the best colour too 8)

Yep, that's definitely the engine & trans oil cooler. Is the air con rad and engine rad ok behind it?

I had a look at the rads behind the oil cooler and they seem to all be intact, looks as if the oil cooler is just below these radiators.

I've got the oil cooler now, set me back £755 with employee "discount". It's going in to my local German specialist garage on Monday, they've worked on all of my previous cars, including my S8. I'm having the Cambelt done, water pump, alternator, spark plugs, oil, oil filter, oil cooler, air filter, full gear box service, might get them to JB weld the intercoolers too, if they're leaking. I'm terrified of the bill having already spent £755 on a single part...

Borrowed a mates diagnostics laptop, came up with 6 fault codes, none that seem too serious.

17861 - Exhaust gas temperature sensor 1; open/short circuit to plus - intermittent

17535 - Multiplicative fuel adaptation bank 1; rich mixture - intermittent

17537 - Multiplicative fuel adaptation bank 2; rich mixture - intermittent

17547 - additive fuel adaption, bank 2; rich mixture - intermittent

17545 - additive fuel adaption, bank 1; rich mixture - intermittent

18010 - +30 voltage - intermittent.

Does anyone know a site that can explain the above codes in a bit more depth? Done a bit of searching on here, looks like lambda/maf issues as well as the EGTs.

Are the EGTs the same as the Non return valves that MRC seem to always change on these cars? Or is this a different part completely? Do you think it's worth changing these valves whilst getting all of the above work done?

The ross tech wiki should help out with the codes

possible symptoms, causes, and solutions.

+1 .

You could end up spending a fortune unnecessarily if you start changing parts ! .
Could be a case of the last owner changed parts but didn't clear the error codes afterwards :bigblink:

Radiator is on back order, so I'm going to be waiting a week for my radiator to arrive from Germany. Does anyone else know of where I can get one? Possibly a spare one that someone has laying around?

Got the radiator now, pipes have corroded on to the oil cooler, typical!

DRC is leaking on one side too. Unfortunately, they've not been changed yet.

Does anyone have a a full kit they're looking to sell? Bilsteins, h+r what ever.

Just found this by accident:

Possibly the cheapest suspension ever to exist? Hilarious.

Bloody hell thats cheap. Would be perfect if it was a quality part.

Never heard of fk though, maybe they're named that because fucked is probably what you'd be if you fitted them? Lol

FK are a pretty major player in Europe. I've had a few bits from them over the years. Some of their stuff is pretty good. Anything that's TÜV approved is a pretty safe bet. Still, that suspension is silly cheap.

A few people on here have the Silverline X coilovers and they seem OK.

Cheers guys.

I dont suppose anyone has tried the cheap coilovers that have been linked above? I'm actually contemplating buying them just because they're so cheap, just to pass mot and get the car on the road and re-address afterwards, since labour isn't so intensive.

Would the above be ideal for a saloon?
