Just wondering has anyone here taken their RS6 round it? if so how well did it to?

the reason i'm asking as i see the RS as a motorway cruiser, so i know getting there would be great, but I'm not sure how well a car it will be to go round, I'm thinking not great so i'll just get a cheap toy for the weekend.

but i'm happy to hear what people say, if it's a fantastic car and comes into it's own i'll definitly take it then.
Just go easy on the brakes if its dry and hot. Remember watching a vid of a C5 years and years ago (when they were near-new) where its brakes failed almost at the end of the lap (end of the twisty section from Karussell to Pflanzgarten)

I gotta say, Nburger shots of your car on the carousel and snow on the ground, that's just got gold-plated WIN written all over it. Shame my teeth are so fucken itchy.

Cheers for all the feedback, after reading i think it's worth a shout taking mine, i've been told it's recommend to upgrade the ARB with Hochkis, as it keeps the ride as normal but come into their own with cornering, so i think that seems a good shout.

and i'll take all advice in letting everything cool down, i have the drilled discs so hopefully nothing will fail :)

Screw the arb. Update your pads and fluid else you will have no brakes after 3miles

think that's sound advice, the pads are not old, but worth upgrading for a trip, what ones do you recommend?

+1, though I did it with nearly new stock pads and racing blue fluid. Brakes behaved but after two laps she was ready to melt so needed to pootle around for half an hour just to bring everything down to a sane temperature! Make sure you don't just come off and park up as a barge like the '6 takes a beating at the ring.

My car has been round it.
Before i got her. WHen "Big Dave" had her...
she caught fire!!! for three seconds: no damage, it was a fuel pipe burst, so petrol burned not the paint or owt else.
There;s also a video on YouTube somewhere, but i've only found the parade journey when he blips the nitrous through the vents! (Nos was installed for cooling, not for boost)
Can't remember what times she did, but i don't think they were amazing. Especially as it was stacked on a bridge iirc too! LoL
I've finally got my head together but now my body is falling apart!

Did Scuderia Hanseat in my RS6+. 8:30 BTG. KW v3, ARBs etc to try to dial out as much understeer as possible. Not the perfect Ring car but the power is a bonus on the fast sections. Great fun :)

No issue with oil temp? I had to back out of it after three quarters of a lap because I was looking at 140C oil temp and climbing. Wasn't a particularly hot day (Aprilà and that was before the remap, too.

There's plenty of grip in these cars for a respectable time, I felt it would easily do 8:45 or so on the stock map and with broken DRC, but the brakes take a beating and my car just develops insane oil temps very quickly.

The 6 is great for the blast there and back but for the ring itself...

Do a sighting lap in the 6, get some pics from the paparazzi and then rent a swift or something to chuck about for real fun.

My 6 had everything done, brakes, fluid, bilstein, hotchkiss etc etc but it was still a boat in comparison to something a little more focused.

After having just driven it in a Stg2 Swift and a DSG track prep'd Sirocco, my head just can't get around how much weight management you'd have do for a respectable lap in the C5. Still keen on giving it a go. I'm hooked.
No matter where you go, there you are.
