C'Mon then Robbo, what the score? We need numbers for your questions.
Also, have you been in any othe RS6s? I'm pretty surprised that the torque is as you say only 770 odd, can't think of the top of my head what the Avus avant mrc did was rated at.

Why do people keep quoting PS & Nm?

All real tuners & car manufactures in this world use bhp (ATW) & LB/FT

Anything else is a marketing ploy to make your car sound better than what it is! :beerchug:

The numbers from my dyno graph from MRC are in PS and NM. BHP and LB/FT are antiquated units, but some of you dinosaurs (me included) still refer to them cos that's what they know. :beerchug:

Yep, it doesn't seem that long ago that I was one of the 'kids', but I find myself confused by the new numbers which must mean I am a fully paid up member of the dinosaur club.

Not really, the C5 famously had 450PS (only geeks quote 444 BHP). The B5 has 380PS, so it makes sense quoting PS when quoting modded numbers as that's what are released. I do get what you're saying, though.

Soz Chunk I honestly don't know its bhp / Nm / PS tbh , I'm currently trying to arrange a rolling road session just for the sake of it..

I copied and pasted from the QST website following stats,It started life as a MTM stage 4 kit = 568bhp / 770 Nm .. so I know its that at least.. dont want to make false claims etc if i don't know,I'm not one of these guys that add on arms n legs without proof !

The turbos were one off hybrid jobbies , and by the time it had uprated fuel pressure regs & uprated fuel pump / boost controller etc I havent the foggiest what its sitting at now.. Cant get a rolling road session for another 4 weeks :-/ GUESSING by chatting to people and seeing similar things it will be much or less the same as the one mentioned just there ( 8-900 nm ) , but dont quote me please.

I was going to have a bash at videoing a 0-100mph dash,or a 30-120mph or similar , it has a twin plate ap racing clutch so feel relatively comfortable giving it a bit of a dump for a one off !

Will maybe try that tomorrow if I can find a willing co-pilot..

Cheers

Robbo

robwight wrote:Hey Chunk,

The one I just bought is the one you referred to, the MTM black saloon .. 2.1 secs :-) haha

Picked it up other day and over the moon with it , flawless condition inside & out , runs 100% spot on.

I Had a good chat with Kim @ QST & the previous owner ( Dunk5y ) whom bought it from QST and everything sounded fab.

Its only being used as a family everyday car so wont ever be pushed to the limits ( I also have to much mechanical sympathy anyways ! ), just morbid curiosity regards performance figures..

Thanks for reply, would be great to pop down sometime if there is a meet ? hope no-one minds the dense questions haha

Cheers

Robbo
Is this not the car that is shown in a picture on another thread on here, on fire at a race track?! From what I've read elsewhere it has been through the wars

No, there were two of them that QST built. The 'other' one is the 'ring/fire/NOZ one, I think... I can find out if the OP give me the reg, the one with the reputation was on V8 AUD, I think... I can check and see if that plate was ever on this car if it is bothering the OP, but I don't think it is.

OP - Welcome to the forum, FON and happy new RS 6.
