reading maps and prepping for your journey before you leave kinda defeats the point of having sat nav. I was fine in the old days where I'd look up where I'm going before leaving but I want sat nav so I don't have to. with this system I often put the 4 digits in, then the name of the road then I'm faced with a number of roads with the same name that share the same 1st 4 digits of their postcode. If you can read a map / road signs it's not really an issue. Having a general sense of direction helps too.

I'm not sure about the MMI units (i.e. non RNS-E) in other newer Audis, they may have full postcode search, but certainly if it comes with an RNS-E then its 4 digits only.jordan wrote:So if I bought a brand new R8 today it would still only do 4 digits?
