Rear Parcel Shelf for C5 Avant
Hello, need some advice. My roller parcel shelf for my C5 Avant has broken and beyond repair. A new one from Audi is a shed load of money. There are quite a few advertised on E-Bay but these are usually advertised for C6's. The question is, will the ones fitted to the C6 fit a C5? Phoned my local Audi dealer but they were not particularly helpful. Any info much appreciated.

Hello!
No a C6 rear luggage compartment blind has different attachment points to the C5, so will not fit.
These C5 rear blinds for luggage compartment come in at least 5 colours, so it would be good to identify which part number you need.
There are plenty for sale in the UK, but it depends where you are in the world and is it financially viable to post.
I can help you get the part number if you are not sure
Regards

Re: Rear Parcel Shelf for C5 Avant
My parcel shelf suffered the same fate and the roller blind part would no longer retract. A plastic part in one end had snapped.
I managed to buy a file to enable me to 3d print both ends of it.
I looked for second hand but they arent common, I suspect because they all break, decided a second hand one could break the next day also.
The file enabled me to print all the individual parts and assemble it all. It works and looks perfectly fine. Yes its not genuine but its not exactly but of place and an eyesore.
Ill try and find the link again online. If you have access to a 3d printer. Might also help others

See link above. That printed and some adhesive rubber Stickers to replicate the original and I was really pleased with it.

Nice. That's a good find.
For structural parts like that I would get them printed in MJF or maybe PA6 SLS (depending on which cheaper) and polished and dyed black. They'll be much stronger and without the inherent directional weakness of fused deposition printing like I'd do at home. For getting stuff printed I use 3DprintUK and have always had good results, but there are plenty of others.
