Hi all, weird one that I can’t find anywhere; I’m doing cam belt and while it’s all apart was replacing some extra bits, including new bearing for the top idler pulley. It’s the triangular thingy with three holes that you need to line up to bolt onto the engine bracket. Now, when I bolt it into the pulley with the centre bolt, it locks up really tight. Have I missed something out? I took it apart a while back to paint the pulley so not sure if I’ve assembled wrong or something…
Top idler pulley for V-belt
Re: Top idler pulley for V-belt
Sorted! The paint was just thick enough to drag on it when tightened up. Cleaned it up and all good now.
