Just to add an update onto Bambam's car, I've just bought the engine for it, I believe. Hoping to give new life to a poorly mugello blue estate :beerchug:

Are you going to convert it to manual? I ask as soo much of the block was ground away I doubt the standard starter will fit. Also the block had cracked and has been welded up by Vamspares. He told me the engine was scrap.

Yes, will be converted to manual! 0A3

Plan on doing a very high-power build, so using it more as a good base. The car it's going into has done 206k miles and the oil is full of water so it must be better lol. This was the description with it. He told me the repair was done "by previous owner when he did manual conversion"

I'm the previous owner and never welded the block as I didn't even know it was cracked. The bodge around the core plug was done by MRC I guess but Vamspares said he welded that up to. The cambelt was done in June and did about 60 miles before Vamspares bought it.
