I saw this RS live when I picked up my RS from the mechanic.
The car is made with taste and looks beautiful. Congratulations to the owner.

looks like i forgot about this topic but anyway shes alive and doing well, mapped to 530bhp and 800nm with dyno print, did like nearly 20k so far and had not much issues, put some h@r collies, then last summer fitted kw3 then switch back to h@r which i prefer, too much time to set kw3 and im dont doing any track days etc so decided i dont need them, had interior swap for black ones, flat steering wheel fitted,2 years ago i did convert headlight to biled projectors, last summer while we went to poland rear bearing failed on one side so replaced both,2x abs sensors and both cv joints and thats it really, using car few days a week and enjoying driving it.

ohh i had ecu failed before xmass on my way from swindon, ended up on flat bed, eprom crashed and could not start it after i went to fill it up with juice on m25,bought 2nd ecu to confirm its ecu and sent off both to repair and clone 2nd one just in case

I like your DIS. It looks tidy. What is it?
Daytona RS6 C5 Avant. Viper'd, Billies, Waggers, MTM box brain, C6 stoppers, xcarlink, R8 coolant cap (woohoo)

I was thinking the same on the DIS, looks like https://linktr.ee/3dcolormfd ? I’ve been tempted to do that since replacing the RDS with a Pioneer, the top half of the DIS is blank most of the time.

Great post. Really good read and great photo,s.
Another thumbs up for the DIS.
The Le Mans alloys also look great. They just seem to suit the C5.

as Simon said its 3d colour, had this fitted to my rs6 and also to my rs4 b5,not cheap but make it look modern, also you can read and delete fault codes
Re: new owner, not the best start with rs6
thanks Steve.Had rs6 c7 wheels for over 2 years and was bit bored with them,a8 multispoke suit era of car and they looks very oem,but i think c7 wheels worked very well in c5,also had b8 rs4 wheels for a day, didnt like them and sold them next daysteve2003rs6 wrote: ↑Mon May 27, 2024 11:13 amGreat post. Great thread and build. There are many things here I'd like to get onto my car one day.
I really like those A8 9-spoke alloys. Gives it strong OEM look and a muted style like the rest of the car.
Are all the rims 20"?

Re: new owner, not the best start with rs6
yes sir,1st one was c7 rs6 9,5x20et21 fitted with conti6 245/30 and a8 multispokes are 9x20et46 with nankang as-2+ tyres 245/30 also.Fitted with 30mm spacers then dropped to 20mm front and 25mm rear.Went to north london on saturday to pick up some audi cantonas 8,5x20 but in England 98% tyre fitter cant do low profile tyres,in the end wasted day and back home with nothing
Re: new owner, not the best start with rs6
Bloody love this build ! what are the adapters you used for the rear calipers ? always fancied some 4 pots on the rear end
