Hasn’t found the label file for your ABS controller.

Might be an issue with your VCDS installation.

Try updating to latest version after uninstalling the one you’ve got.

Are you using a genuine Rosstech cable? I've had communication errors like that in the past when using a cheap Chinese cable.

At £450 it better be a genuine cable.

Hpsauce. Last year my wife was “tidying up” and my unlimited vins cable went missing.
So I bought a new one.
Some time later the cable re appeared.
So I sold it on here.
But yes mate. It is a genuine unlimited vins cable and I am using the latest software release 24.5.

Recently had a brake fluid change. Also had new discs and pads fitted all round. So I don’t know if that has anything to do with it.

VCDS uninstalled then reloaded.
Same problem exists

Have you installed or updated your antivirus recently? Try installing your AV and/or firewall and seeing if you can connect then. Obvs don't use your laptop on the internet without those things running.

If I go into control module then select abs brakes the brakes are recognised.

Sounds like the autoscan settings are off then. Maybe you've checked or unchecked an option. Since you have a genuine cable, you can contact VCDS support on their forum, too.

Whenever updating a version of anything it's always worth checking through all the preferences to make sure they haven't been fiddled with. Annoys me endlessly when this happens.

It was ok before I updated to version 24.5.

Yep. They'll have changed something. It's just a matter of working out what. I'd email them and see if they have had other people encounter the same issue.
