Yeah, I'm pretty sure all those cheap ones (Brembo, Mintex, Ferodo) come out of the same Federal Mogul factory made from various floor sweepings. I set fire to mine when I was trying to bed them in. They're probably enough to stop you once from high speed, but totally unsuitable for spirited driving.
I personally would get some OE pads. You might struggle to get the RS6 part number but the RS4 B7 pads are the same, IIRC. Failing that, some of the more competition oriented models like DS2500 or Pagid RS. I liked the DS2500 on the M3 but I never tried them on the RS6.
It's a bit moot for me now anyway because I've got the C6 calipers and the OE Brembo pads for those are very good (and reasonably priced).
Doesn't matter for the rears. I put the cheapo ones in there.

Daytona RS6 C5 Avant. Viper'd, Billies, Waggers, MTM box brain, C6 stoppers, xcarlink, R8 coolant cap (woohoo)
///M3 E46 | XC90 (V8, natch) | Passat GTE | RR Classic V8 flapper

Re: 2003 RS6 engine issues...
This is my first time posting on the forum so hi there.
I have all these problems and I have changed the plugs, coil packs, n75, suction jet pump, mafs and vac lines but still got no power.
I did have a manifold leak I can hear it but definitely got w0rse so that's obviously got to be sorted but can't figure the no,power out. Tried unplugging bat but to no avail.
Note about brakes, I got EBC discs and blue stuff pads, seem pretty good just wish I had some more speed to be able to use the buggers.
Any help or advise welcome.
