It’s odd, but there does seem to be some variation. I can get 8 litres in when I service mine.

I have never managed to get 8 litres in since I bought the car in 2012.
Same with unit 20
Same with a local garage.
Initially I did get a bit paranoid about it.
These days I accept that I will put around 6 litres in for a oil and filter change.

The service kit came with 7l and that was genuine ZF. Was tempted to try and cram it in as i could put it in quicker than it leaked out. Will run it out when its drier at the weekend and have another look. Temperature was at 38 by the time i had finished.

Just found my old post. 5 litres was the maximum I could get in.
Same with unit 20
Same with local garage.
IIRC temperature was in the low 40,s.

FFS. Had a gearbox oil and filter change yesterday.
I was told 7 litres went in and 1/2 ran out when run up to temperature.
That’s a first for my car since ownership in 2012.

Hey Matt.
Also nice to know that the magnets were nice and clean.

Have not checked mine again as all seems smooth, although its barely done 50 miles since the oil change. Now the endless rain seems to have eased, it should come out of hibernation for Easter.
