Okay so strange one I will do my best to explain..
Had never tried the rear windows and realised one is dead the drivers side specifically.
1) the switch was unplugged in the rear door and looks like it’s got wet as it has corrosion on it as does the plug, plug it in and it doesn’t do anything so is broken
2) from the drivers door it appears to do nothing but with the door card off you can hear the motor click to try and go up but nothing for down
3) I plugged in a spare motor and it will go up but nothing when you try go down.
4) regulator looks okay i suppose it could have seized but makes no sense for the motor that isn’t connected to the car.
Is this a common fault? Any ideas be appreciated!
Thanks

Re: Rear Drivers Window
I guess check what, if any, voltage your getting at the motor plug to verify that both up and down powers are getting to it. If not then check at the switch end to confirm if the switch is functioning correctly. There might be a break in the wire in the hinge area?
Re: Rear Drivers Window
That was my next stop I was wondering if wiring in the doors was common for breaking before I strip it down and find nothing wrong

Re: Rear Drivers Window
No, not common.
Try holding the up button for 10 seconds then the down button for 10 seconds.
If that doesn't do anything then, try down for 10 and up for 10. Try all the combos.
If that doesn't do it then it could be the wiring. The regulators on these go quite frequently. Might be fouled inside stopping the window moving.
