I will take a look.yes I believe so.no idea on rates tho or what have ye.i use a friends address in Belfast when I'm buying from the UK so only pay whatever the postage costs.
I got a few minutes there for a quick look under the bonnet and the left intake pipe was loose/jubilee clip.i thought jackpot this must be it,tightened her up and still the same.cel still on.still feels the same.i suspect the lower ones may be loose.hoping.guess I won't know anymore till I get her on a ramp.

It might be overboosting. Dodgy N75 or something. Can't really diagnose properly without a Vagcom. But yes, check the other hoses. You'd be surprised how tight those jubilee clips need to be to prevent the hose popping off.

P1136:bank 1 too lean

If there's a massive leak then you will get too rich and too lean depending on the conditions. Some of those faults might be old, too. Clear them all, drive it for a few miles and see what comes back. First rule of Vagcom: clear the codes, see what comes back.

I wouldn’t drive it more than absolutely necessary.

Shopp's point about VCDS is that the codes you have there are generic. VCDS will give you a much more precise messages and codes to diagnose it with.
And while you wait for it to arrive, check the 2x upper boost hoses, that the airbox is sitting with the MAF sensors securely in the pipes, jack it up and check the 4x lower boost hoses too.
This is easy to do as an "eyeball" job - although you might need to pull the undertray off to see the lower hoses (if it's still there, it's a common thing for garages to "forget" to refit!)
It is also pretty common for "people" to not refit the airbox properly and it can pop out of place - there are 2 nuts & 1 bolt that hold it down. When I bought my car, none were fitted and it only stayed in place by gravity.

This is what I got from the codes.
The rich and lean codes All gave the same possible cause and solution so only put that up the once.i found no boost leaks but did find a cable connected to a round type object that was just hanging there.it was twined with another cable that cooked into sump,I think at least.any ideas what this is?I think maybe I'll go with the exhaust sensor first what you guys think?there's a lot there to check

I think clear the codes and see what comes back.

And also what Matt said.

Yeah. Check all the vac hoses. Also the big one going to the master cylinder. That's why Greg was asking about your brakes.
