Car went in for its 20 year old MOT this morning.
Really pleased that she passed without any advisories.
Just clocked up 127k miles.
Next stop is a full service

Re: 20 th MOT
Thank you guys.
Love it when your pride and joy gets a clean bill of health.
Just might treat her to a pair of new wagners this year as a thank you.
Thinking about it she is in better condition than me. LoL.

Re: 20 th MOT
I just treated mine to a full service!
I'm so happy with it now.
Took three years and more euros than I imagined.
It's now a joy!
Congrats!

Re: 20 th MOT
Well done, my S8 had a totally clean MOT back in February, actually the 24th in its life due to a few failures in the past (all easily fixed).
As for age well, it's about to be 21 (built in April 2002) but not according to DVLA as it wasn't actually first registered until October 2003!
I don't actually know the explanation, but I think it may have been an unregistered showroom car used for the occasional demo on trade plates, but 18months is a big gap!
And it's ULEZ compliant, not that I intend to take it anywhere inside that den of iniquity!

Re: 20 th MOT
Cheers guys.
When I bought the car it had approx 54k miles on it in 2012.
Today the mileage is 127 k as this is my daily driver.
I can honestly say I have thoroughly enjoyed every mile that I have driven.
With the exception of a duff battery,a faulty temperature sensor, plus a seized brake caliper/brake booster valve, the car has never let me down.
I feel really sorry for new members who have had nothing but trouble with their cars from the get go. Then get rid of them without experiencing how good these cars can be.
I also feel very fortunate that I bought a “good” one.
Yes I have spent a fair bit on her over the years but worth every penny imo. Hopefully we can spend lots more years together.
I hope I haven’t put the mockers on it now.
