Steering rack suitability

Should get the spare steering rack back tomorrow after complete overhaul.
Garage busy for a couple of weeks.
Will book mine in once the rack arrives.
They will then install the refurbished rack on my car.

Just a heads up for anyone - I notice there is the odd refurbished rack popping up these days that says it's suitable for our cars. Note however that they are not the correct part number for ours, they are the boggo standard ones. The only correct ones are the 2x part numbers listed earlier in this thread - one being the rack only, the other being the assembly.

Car booked in for 03/04/23 to have the reconditioned rack installed.

Update - All done. Took garage 8 hours labour.
Not a engine removal job.
