Hi all,
My RNS-D is in safe mode. The knob that would move the cursor to select the numbers is not moving the cursor. Has anyone else had this problem and better still have a solution?
Many thanks

It may be locked out, have you tried to input your code??? If so, leave it on for an hour
It also sounds like you may have issues with your wiring in the floor under the pass seat, this corrodes/oxidises when exposed with water and gives low voltage etc, this also causes issues like this

The first thing is to wait, they lock up after an invalid code.
The second thing to look at is the "safe" wire, which needs +12v on it. Usually its from a permanently on source.
Wiring diagram should be on a label on the unit itself so easy to find and check that wire with a multimeter.

As the guys have said, try waiting.
If that doesn’t work take a look at this post I wrote. And questions on it please just ask and I’ll try and help.

Re: C5 RNS-D not working
Thanks all. Problem solved. Car just needed to be running with the radio on for 1hour. After that the knob was able to move the cursor and I could enter the PIN.
