Anyone’s?

Post by jonnyball » Fri Jan 08, 2021 8:28 pm

Just picked up the latest copy of Top Gear magazine (issue 343) and found this article. Thought I would share with the group and got me wondering..

1) Is this car anyone’s on the forum (I love it)?

2) Do we think values will exceed £20k in the future?
I didn’t buy mine as an investment but interested in thoughts..

That’s the Audi heritage collection RS6+, as seen on JayEmm, volkswizard and a few other YouTube channels recently, it’s very nice & obviously well looked after!

As Si said that’s a plus from Audi and I don’t care if they hit £100k I’m never selling mine-might be time to look for a cheap one and sit on it

Yeah, prices are only going one way for good cars. 20k seems like a very modest estimate. Have you seen the prices of RS2s recently? I almost bought one for 10k when I bought the RS6 but decided not to be greedy. Dumbass.

Sorry to hijack the thread but talk of £ values got me thinking and I might just want to sell mine. Was great nick until Gbox and TQ C broke and also damaged the crankshaft nose by vibrating around for a while. My RS specialist says they can repair the crank in situ and Chester Automatics only want £1895 plus VAT to recon the box and Tq C . Ill post pics shortly on the for sale section. I am not definitely going to sell and may pay to get the work done but i have pumped so much cash into the car(apart from these probs it is a great car and was one of the best I think) so I am interested to see what I might get for it as is and then start again poss with a C6

That sucks. Sorry to hear that. Yeah, I seem to remember it being a good looking car. Don’t you take it to do skiing every year? Well, until the apocalypse.

Not taken it abroad., I think "House" the previous owner may have taken it across europe. It has been at the specialists in surrey for some time. I was having an argument with the warranty co who wouldn't pay on the basis the dealer who sold me the guarantee had gone bust and the agreement was with them!!!!A big scam as I see it. I'm waiting for the Motor Ombudsman to decide but am not hopeful so I either pump more cash in or bail out!! I absolutely love the car and would miss the engine roar and the rumble of those non res milteks. I will post pics on the for sale section so everyone can see how great this is or at least will be again

Well remembered! It's me that does a skiing trip each year in my RS6. Similar user name. Car going strong, currently on 115K with full MRC service history since 57K (Audi main dealers before that).

Indeed. About 2008 or 2009 an RS2 was available very near where my parents were living at the time for 6k. :bash:

Cleanest I've seen for a while. No connection to seller - notice their initials are 'IC' but it aint mine - I wish - utter pr0n

Goes to show what a car that has largely been garaged and unmodified can bring. Now every time I drive mine there are two gauges in my sightline, fuel consumption and depreciation. I think I can see the needles move on both.
