Heated Seats

Post by R5XVB » Sat Jan 26, 2019 8:15 pm

Daft question...

The heated seats, even if left set to on do they only activate when a passenger is detected as being seated upon? Common sense says 'of course' but just wondering.

I'm sure they are just "On" regardless of an ass on them.

seats don't have any sensors in them - heating is ON weather your on it or not

I'm taking it that's blown the explanation for why it's possibly not working out the window? :audibash:

Was just curious, assumed it had a sensor in it and was thinking about added fuel consumption because there's four heated seats.

Thanks though, now I know. :)

It will have a negligible effect on fuel economy.

I dislike heated seats. Never understood them, never use them except in Canada when the cars been outside at -30 degrees.

Heated steering wheel, on the other hand... now that's a decent option. Glad I've got it.

Didn't someone's rear bench seat melt / catch fire a year or so ago on here?
