The plan was going quite well until I actually drove one ... and then things started happening a bit fast - kid & sweet shop spring to mind.peterb wrote:I just knew that you wouldn't be able to hold off until the spring!
Still adjusting my right foot operation though ... a gentle increase in speed is good ... dropping a gear is fantastic ... but when it drops down 2 then everything starts happening very fast
I'm still wading through the users manual - I must admit it's very well written - there just seems an endless stream of menu's and sub-menu's to learn about.
Got loads of newbie questions which I'll post if I don't figure them out.

If you have a subwoofer fitted to your PC it does the business.

I know what you mean! I visited the dealer's late one afternoon, simply for a test drive. I came away at around 7pm, having speced the car and placed the order onto the production system.Rich_C wrote:The plan was going quite well until I actually drove one ... and then things started happening a bit fast - kid & sweet shop spring to mind.
My wife was a somewhat surprised, when I got home, to find that I'd actually ordered. Perhaps 'surprised' doesn't quite express her reaction!

My wife has gone past the bemusement stage into general head shaking. I think she's come to the conclusion that there's a time where she just has to let me get on with it ... easier for her in the long run.
Surprisingly she's generally very taken with the car. Does the twin turbo v8 impress her .... er no. Does the all wheel drive impress her ... er no. What impresses her is ...
1) The car locks you in once you start driving
2) The foldy out door pockets
3) The light comes on when you slide the vanity mirror open.
Plan to get her to drive it this weekend otherwise the longer I leave it the less she'll want to do it. Wish me luck ... might have to take my hip flask just to calm the nerves.

Haha... My wife hates the auto-locking being turned on! To her, the car is just the same as my previous 2.7T, and she doesn't understand why I needed to change!
Oh, and even after two and a half years, she still hasn't driven it (mind you, she never drove the 2.7T in the three years I owned that)! She is happy sticking with her A2, but she has been known to drive the MR2.
However, I do wish you luck!
