No massive bang, symptoms almost like a coil pack failure and no warning lights. Switched it off as I was in traffic and wouldn’t start again.

Waiting on final damage findings and then look to get it sorted. Once I have Grizz’s findings then I will research any possible upgrades. Waiting for a couple of US specialists to respond to messages from today.

It will be done once and done properly 😊

I just need to know who the four gearbox votes were from and then can arrange for chocolate bars to be sent!

And to save anyone making the suggestion I won’t be doing a manual conversion. I would have liked to explore an S Tronic gearbox but Grizz has advised that it won’t fit.

Don't worry about it dude, you have bigger things to worry about forking out for. Glad the problem was found, sorry it is as <beep> as it is....

Interested to see how things turn out, as I have a spare TC sitting here that I need to get uprated for when mine eventually dies, then uprate the turbos at the same time and god knows what else, not that I even really drive her these days....

So I was right with DRC being the fault then ?, the sonic harmonics and vibrations caused by DRC loosened the bolts ? Maybe Dr Who with her sonic screwdriver could fix it ? But I agree you have larger issues than sending Chocolate out.

Thanks chaps

It’s a car. It will get fixed. I will still love it, and in fact, I’ll love it even more. Definitely suffering withdrawal symptoms now!

Is the gearbox casing damaged at all? That's some <beep> luck there.

I don’t believe so. Hoping to know the extent of the damage before the festive break and then I can look at upgrades as it seems a bit daft simply rebuilding it how it was.

Is cryptics car still off the road? Last I heard it was rotting away in her garden. Wonder if the box is still good in it?
Yeah, yeah, "her garden" "box". Calm down.
