Headlights C5 RS6 Advice Requested

Post by ccullen10 » Tue Sep 25, 2018 1:01 pm

I am looking for nearside Xenon headlight for my C5 S6 (2002). Anyone advise on an "after market" that can do the job?

I think the aftermarket ones are mainly designed for the standard A6 and will not fit the V8 models, so watch out for that!

What about just replacing the lens with aftermarket?

Is that a complete unit or are you cannibalising your existing headlights?

I have some of Trups upgraded xenon projectors and they are miles better than the standard ones. Such a good upgrade for the winter

So anyone got any bright ideas re. lenses? That is one thing that ages the car is misty lenses! And wet sanding and polishing them doesn't last too long either.

I use a Meguaire's uv protection after polishing headlights. Hard to say how effective it is but gotta be better than nothing.

For misty lenses then I just had mine polished. Autoglym do a kit for polishing headlight lenses specifically as well.
