Did somebody get a good deal on EBay?

Post by audi_driver79 » Wed Jul 18, 2018 7:29 am

Hi,
I had this in my watch list just out of interest - item 183322288208. Did anyone buy it on here? Seems like a decent price if it's just the gearbox or even to get parts off more than likely.

Sounds about right for one if the box has gone...

Yeah add £4k for a gearbox rebuild (about right???) then you are looking at normal money for a reasonable one.

Well if the rest of it is really tidy and it costs £4K for a fresh box rebuild then you've got a potential bargain car. Is that what a rebuilt gearbox costs these days?

The figure seems to be between £1600 and 3.5k from reading on the forums

That's a big if. In my experience, cars like this are on their last gasp in most respects.

I've just read the advert. Even if that car didn't have a gearbox problem I don't think I'd bother going to see it.
