C5 rs6 front discs

Hi guys,

Looking for a bit of help, I bought some front discs off of a forum member who advertised them as nearly new and 34mm thick. They ended up being skimmed below 32mm and warped. Complete scrap and the guy is just ignoring me.

He's clearly a scumbag and now I'm out of pocket for the discs £225 plus new pads and labour just for it all needing to be replaced again.

What I need is a suggestion of where to get the discs from at a good price. Audi want silly money for them so I was wondering what others do.

Speak to GodspeedBrakes see if they do anything for the C5, ive used their discs on various Scoobies and Evos across many trackdays and ring trips over the years always been faultless.

Personally though with a car like the RS6 which is hauling a lot of weight at astronomical speeds I'd stick to Audi OE.

Zimmermann disks from ECP, GSF or 123auto. They are good and reasonably priced. Failing that, ebay.de will have them. Or you can try Ultimot.de. They are helpful and speak English.

Shocking - I almost bought these discs from the guy but alarm bells started ringing as a result of some of my PM's with the seller and I rejected the sale. Glad I did! Hope you somehow manage to get refunded.

Autodoc have Zimmerman’s for £174 each at the moment. I’ve got them on my car and have no complaints at all

I asked him some very specific questions including are they warped and he said they were like new. Raised a dispute through PayPal so fingers crossed I get a refund.

Can you believe my luck. Their website is only allowing me to buy 2 of each side, I can't reduce the quantity to 1. They have a Black Friday sale on, I've messaged them but what's the chances of me being able to order them before that's up? Lol

I used the app and had a similar problem I’m servicing my car and it wouldn’t let me buy spark plugs and oil so they lost a sale on the oil as I bought I from somewhere else. As for the sale I wouldn’t worry too much, they always have a sale on.

A set of non drilled on the bay from jardine motors just under £400, ncts, i replaced mine recently , went to have them skimmed , was told they were below min thickness , hence the warping , but not a lot of difference between new and knackered, good luck.

I bought a pair from Autodoc, really can't fault the service, price and speed of delivery but on their site they force you to buy a minimum of 2 of any side. I questioned this with them and explained I needed 1 of each side (an axle set) and they said they force people to buy 2 but they will send an axle set......can you guess what went wrong?.....that's right, I have 2 LHS disks
