Is the rs logo projected on the surface the lights shine on?
No Mav. It's just looks smart/ghey when the lights are off. You can see the logo when the lights are on when looking at them from an angle.

Is it possible to get some without the RS logo? Price for a set of those please :)

Also the plastic cover for the light unit. Does that fit the standard headlights? Mine are scratched to buggery so the miser that I am wonders whether I can just change the covers...

Sorry for lack of updates, I struggled to get pics up so thanks for Bam getting them up. I will build the price list later today once I have worked on the weekend emails and orders but chunky is greedy with the quad setup, changing the OEM projectors out along with new bulbs is more than enough to bring output upto date and its something you could do yourself if you wanted as these lamps are now very very fragile to send in the post.

Hi All.

Prices:
Morimoto Mini D2S 4.0 projectors - £150
EMT Brackets and bolts - £40
Lens etching - £45 existing designs or £65 if you want a new one
Osram CBi headlight bulbs - £95.
New sealant £14.

That's pricing if you want to order the kit, there is some trimming involved to the projector frame to get them in perfect which I can do for an extra £20 but this will add an extra day on me posting them out.

This is not a massive job to take on, in fact doing the above mod is fairly easy and if you wanted me to carry the work out it could be a drive in/out service if not wanting paint work or lens refurbed on the same day. I would charge £80 to fit the parts to a set of headlights sent in, postage would need to be covered which is £35 for the return, if wanting me to remove and refit the headlights then I would need an extra £40 for time to remove the bumper.

If going Quad we would need to discuss on an individual basis as its ALOT of work, it takes around an extra 5 days to do and in total would be around the £1200 mark to carry out with parts and labour, the price includes the above pricing to change out the oem projector too.

There is also a ballast boost mod I can do, if you are running the OEM Hella ballasts I can boost these to 50w giving them a faster warm up time also, this will give 20% more output to your bulbs meaning more light, downside is that if your bulbs are intended to last 5 years they will probably, loose a year off that, that service is £70.

All parts are in stock :)

Sorry for the dumb question. The kit above is that a upgrade for the oem bulbs? If so what sort of improvement are we looking at? And the quad conversion is the addition of another projector as in the pics above?

Thanks

Kully

Hi Kully.

The upgrade I listed is to swap out the OEM projectors that you have there already with new ones along with new bulbs, putting new bulbs in them projectors wont make too much of a difference in output as they are an old design wit a plastic reflector bowl, chances are that they are burnt or on there way out. The additional projector is if you want to be greedy, the 1st projector swap its more than enough and you will be amazed at how much difference a projector designed and made in 2016 compares to one designed in 2002.

Morimoto RetroRubber (wait for bams take on this) is what I use and Stock, its £14 per roll and will easily do 2 sets of headlights if used correctly.

Retro Rubber, so I can use the rubber in my wallet I've had since I was 12yr old?

No, don't use that one. You're only meant to use those once, not keep swilling it out and putting it back in your wallet.
