Decent general garage, Cov/Leamington

Post by sulli » Thu Apr 21, 2016 3:32 pm

Just need a simple oil/filte change on my 6. Normally do myself but don't have facilities the moment.
So I need a decent garage that takes care.
Any recommendations near Cov or Leamington?
Thanks

Really? Can you dispose of oil etc? Only additional thing is removing ARB to get filter off and on otherwise straight forward. Was going to use Ramp and Wrench in Cov as you could hire ramps but they stopped doing it due to insurance issues. No longer relish dragging myself under a car and dodging oil...

I used a local garage to me for oil and filter change, Arbury Coachworks in Nuneaton. He changed my oil and sorted out the issue with the ARB. He's a decent guy who knows his cars and doesn't rip you off.

Yep, I do all the stuff in my car so more than familiar with oil changes. I haven't got ramps but quite a few jacks and axle stands etc. You don't need to bring any tools either.

If you ask me nicely you can even borrow my trade card to get oil from halfords if that's what you use :)

The filter can be removed without the ARB coming off, it's a bitch but it can be done!

It doesn't have to be completely removed anyway, just undo the 4 bracket nuts and pivot the arb down, takes 2 minutes.

I know, it's a bigger updated ARB but yeah just needs loosening and moving one side, it's just awkward with no ramps.

That pipe's better left in peace IMO.
