Mugello Avant at Tesco Dundee

Post by EcurieEcosse » Sat Mar 26, 2016 2:00 pm

Anyone here? I was out in my Mugello Avant, but my 4 year old daughter didn't share my excitement at the similar car.

The other week I followed a C5 saloon for a mile after turning around and going in the opposite direction then waved and overtook him. He glanced at me then turned off making me feel like a stalker. Lets face it if you won a C5 now its something special and a labour of love so it'd be nice to get some recognition or acknowledgment from other owners. I have given up with new model RS owners tbh.

Yeah, some people are weird. You'd expect a fellow C5 owner to have a bit more enthusiasm.

I don't come across enough other RS's to have an opinion. I followed a C6 yesterday and I would have made some kind of sign if the opportunity arose, but I never got close enough. Plus I was in the M3 and everyone avoids catching the eye of M3 drivers.

I remember parking up behind a B5 RS4 and having the owner do a double take when he realised it was an RS6. We had a bit of a chat. Tis good when that happens.

I was at the Malton meet this morning and there was a B5 RS4 two rows from me plus various other well known cars and when I spotted him leaving the car p\ark he gave me a big thumbs up when i flashed him. Meant the world so thanks for that.

Yeah, it's a bit of a shame.

When I had my Alfa 147 GTA over 10 years ago I got thumbs up all the time from Alfa drivers, but also from Ferrari and Lamborghini drivers which was cool. Italia baby. A traffic light Grand Prix with a Ferrari 360 is a great memory.

The C5 just seems to attract 2.0tdi drivers.

Forgot to say I run a pub and yesterday I looked out into the carpark and there was a C6 RS6 I recognised from the meet too. I spoke to the lad who owned it and said I had seen his car there. Hes had it for a year and loves it but having lost his job on the rigs he is now considering selling. At least he was happy to have a chat.

In that case i am thinking it was me. I was recently at Tentsmuir forest, and saw a stunning red rs6 avant so felt it appropriate to park at the side of it.
