Cleaning Disc securing plate

Post by topher57yellow » Wed Dec 16, 2015 12:20 am

Just had the wheels refurbished and the disc securing part is the next thing to do.Plan to remove wheels for better access but any recommendations on cleaner/polish would be appreciated as I am unsure what material I am dealing with.

The bells of the discs? They are aluminium. A gentle go over with a wire brush should get rid of stubborn dirt, but brasso/autosol should clean up the rest nicely. No point in polishing them so they are like mirrors though.
