Yeah I don't think I've ever seen 480 miles range on mine either.

Hi lads, I've got this same from in voltage problem. Measures just over 8 at the headunit and the amp input, but 12 at the fuse (37 I think).

Malc, did your's measure about the same? and I take it from your efforts running in the new feeds that no-one else had seen this problem and had a fix?

Cheers

over time the voltages reduced until there was less than 1v. I don't think I ever saw anything as high as 8v though. I was completely fed up with the time spent trying to track down the cause of the problem that in the end I was happy to run new feeds as a workaround - not ideal but it fixed it.

I still have one remaining problem though - the mobile phone unit no longer works. It's powered up and makes and receives calls but no longer routes the sound through the RNS-D. This used to work fine. Not sure if it's related to the power supply problems. However I'm quite enjoying the peace and quiet and being un-contactable whilst driving so have no plans to investigate or fix!

cheers malcolm.

I might need to do the same. Did you just spur feeds of the fuse box?

It would bug the sh1t out of me to not know where the source of the problem was.

But then I'm lazy, too, so that would conflict with the desire to troubleshoot.

Just as well mine's working ok.
