Relative to my comments at the top of this page I think 6+ wheels would look good on an RS4 but perhaps a little dark with black?

I had mine repaied by Chartwell in Derby through the dealer but they have not got the colour quite right yet and I'm going to have them re-done. Finish is fine though. I've never had a car with wheels so easy to damage as the 6+. Why can't they make a tyre with a small extension to the wall to stop minor abrasion? Dunlop used to make a D75 van tyre with a thick rubbing strip on when I used to drive vans. You would think something similar could be arranged for cars!
Cheers, MartynC
Exclusive? My RS6!
Thanks Martyn
Gord - Have been recommended Mich Pilot Sport 2s (Extra Load) as they are slightly wider and last v. well. Used to work as Fleet Mgr for a national fast-fit owned by Michelin so will be getting those myself next time.
Sad thing is the Dunlops on mine do have a small rim protector moulded in, but against the force of a PAS turn onto the door surround (sheet metal), it stood no chance. After the initial bang, where one of the screws holding the surround to the timber popped out, I assumed bodywork was touching so steered away. The bent surround only inflected more damage. Isn't hindsight a wonderful thing. Couldn't even open door at first contact as that would have clobbered the door or wing mirror. At least all bodywork is intact!
Done some further searching, and have bought a Faber Castell 9B "Pitt" graphite stick and similar pencil from a local art shop for about £5. They'll disguise the crime and minimise embarrasment until the next time, which, if sod's law applies, will be on a different wheel. Applied in confines of garage, so don't know how well it looks in daylight yet, but if you do get one 9B is plenty hard enough although they make 6B and 3B too.
Will keep you posted on the aesthetics and washability.
Cheers
