turning tpms off with vagcom
hi guys I've been searching the forum for a hour and can't find a thread explaining how to turn the tyre pressure monitoring off with Vagcom, could somebody kindy explain this to me or point me to the thread if one exists (I'm sure it does somewhere)

Re: turning tpms off with vagcom
You don't need Vagcom to turn it off - just use the menu via the dashboard (switch and knob by handbrake).

Re: turning tpms off with vagcom
You can disable it like that, Dave, but you will always get the warning coming up every time you start the car.
You can code out the TPMS out with the Vagcom completely so you just get the elusive "OK" coming up instead.
Don't know how though - Never looked into it. I would rather have them working on a 190+mph 2 tonne barge.
If you find out how, post a how-to and I'll link to it in the FAQ.

Dont know if this works, you could try this:
Select 17-Instruments; Adaptation; Channel 61.
Subtract 512 from whatever value you find there. (or change 3843 to 3331 if thats shown...)

Re: turning tpms off with vagcom
ok i couldn't find a definite answer to this so i had a go anyway! the end result is no mention of the tyre pressures on the display at all and no options. this is how i did it don't know if its the correct way or is there is another way but this worked for me
17 instruments
10 adaption
select comfort CAN-databus
my original value was 17152
subtract 512 (tyre monitoring code)
new value 16640
test and save
job done!
no codes so far.........
