Re: Ridiculously hard ride
I have had the KWs on the motor for five years or so, and started out with the rebound on +2 and it was too harsh and suffered pump down a lot.
On the standard settings it is much more compliant, but not soft by any means. I got a local chap to wind them back a little to save me the then 500mi round trip to Grizz. It cost me two hours labour, and the local mechanic most of the skin on his knuckles!

The local mechanic should probably try using his fingers and palms next time, you know, instead of his knuckles!el_ringo wrote:It cost me two hours labour, and the local mechanic most of the skin on his knuckles!
No matter where you go, there you are.

It would have taken 30 mins if he had fingers!

Re: Ridiculously hard ride
Just a note to say I finaaaaalllllllly got my car back from the garage. A big thank you to those that helped with the settings - I'm pleased to report that the ride feels much, much better now
The garage did say though that upon close inspection some of the suspension bushes were showing some wear and tear. I've been quoted just under a grand in parts alone to replace the bushes and arms !! Some of the parts, I'm told, are Audi only. Given the car is knocking I can't ignore it so something will have to be done. Question is, does anyone other than Audi do a quality full kit for the 6?

Meyle HD seem to the ones to go for, just be aware that while the kit is a generic one for the A6 the RS6 lower arms are RS6 specific and need to be bought separately as the ones in the A6 kit won't work.

Guys - thank you big time for the links, that's super helpful!!!! Apologies for the late thank you- some knob end nerfed my MINI GP daily so have been embroiled in sorting that and the RS6 has taken a back seat.
