4 yrs ownership!

Post by amanda1 » Fri Jul 04, 2014 2:30 pm

At the end of this month the 6 has been with me for 4 whole years.......still seems like yesterday that I took my q7 down to a little town outside Bristol and exchanged her for the 6.
I have never regretted this decision :assflash:
I hope I have many more years with her :biggrin3:

Hold on, I'm being stupid. I've had mine 5 and a half years. I win.

/also in that time I have replaced the suspension and the intercoolers. That equates to about 7p a week in running costs. In yer face RS6 naysayers.

Not bad! I hope I can keep mine in good nick for that long.

I've had mine about 3 months and bled £5k on intercoolers/gearbox/cam&aux belts/rocker cover gaskets... £55 quid a day so far  I need it to be good for a while now!

Probably wont' be long until C5's are really rare, not all cars are lucky enough to end up with good owners and probably end up on the scrap heap pretty fast.

Ha - just made it to 4 yrs too!

I went into ownership with my eyes open with regard to running/servicing/repair costs and it has actually been more-or-less as per my expectations, perhaps a little less hard on the wallet than I was expecting (is that tempting fate now?!).

Getting itchy feet now though and have been spending a lot of time in the classifieds thinking about a replacement...

Nice one! Roll on September then! I take it by the specific date that you already know which one you're getting?

Despite the initial cost of sorting mine out I absolutely love it to bits!

The build date was week 27 so commenced build last week in June - was in the dealers yesterday and all still on target and they expect delivery early August

Daytona Grey

Keyless with boot opening
Rear Camera
Homelink
Matt Ali Pack

Think that's about the spec and getting very impatient now :thumb:

Ahh you're getting a new one, this thread is for the old C5 rather than C7 RS6's. It's hard work keeping a 12 year old super-estate up to scratch. You shouldn't have any of the probs we have for years to come hopefully and you've got a nice warranty.

Very nice specs, will be an awesome car! Get it remapped by MRC too, not sure what kinda power he can get from a C7 but it will be a substantial increase!
