Mystery connector

Post by Aj2011 » Sun Nov 03, 2013 9:53 pm

Was mucking around changing spark plugs and such like and found this little swine. No idea where it's from. It leads to here (bottom pic) Any help appreciated, the whole area on that side of the car has been messed with by someone so I'm not sure how it's supposed to be.

That looks like the outside air temp sensor and it should be clipped in front of the rads behind the lower front grill.
Current car: 2007 BMW 530d touring.
Previous car: 2005 S4 B7.

Ahaa!! Makes sense actually. The temp indicator is extremely optimistic. Does it sit in a housing or is it just bare.
Thanks for the response.

It goes down in a housing in the bottom oil cooler. Should just push in and twist.
